STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS
Elections were held for the DPVN Student Council 2024-25 on 15th July 2024, Monday. Learners of Grades 9 to 12 filed their nominations for the student council positions including the most coveted posts of the School Head Boy and the School Head Girl, and those from Grades 6 to 12 voted enthusiastically to bring their desired candidates.
Following a democratic procedure, the nominees campaigned for their respective posts on the specially allotted days with their symbols and slogans, and tried to win the hearts of their peers i.e. their voters with passion and leadership skills. On the day of voting, learners were allowed to enter the polling booth and cast online vote and they got their forefingers inked as a sign of exercising their right to franchise. The process concluded with a final round of rigorous interview of the candidates by an expert panel consisting of experienced teachers led by our most Respected Principal ma’am.
Like every year, this year too, DPVN Student Council Election provided a wonderful opportunity to the learners to understand and respect the process of democracy.
DPVN INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2024-25
19th July 2024, Friday, marked one of the most significant days in the current academic session of DPVN, Belapur, as it witnessed the celebration of the milestone event, DPVN Investiture Ceremony 2024-25. The momentous occasion was graced by the kind presence of Honorable Dr. Shivani V. Patil, Pro-Chancellor & Vice President, D Y Patil University.
Under the pioneering guidance and exceptional mentorship of the most respected Principal, Mrs. Ashu Rana, the event acknowledged the true leadership spirit of the newly elected DPVN Student Council 2024-25 members who were chosen for their leadership qualities and dedication, and bestowed them with the positions and responsibility of leading the school with honour.
The event gave the DPVN community the opportunity to witness multiple epic moments that touched hearts and filled minds with the spirit of inspiration. The elected members of the student council and the House In-Charges were gratified to get their badges presented to them by their role model, the iconic leader, Honorable Dr Shivani Patil Ma’am, and be encouraged by her wise words emphasizing the real meaning of leadership.
The day also saw the outstanding academic performance of students getting acknowledged and appreciated as the International and Zonal level achievers of SOF International were presented with their medals and certificates by Honourable Dr. Shivani Patil Ma’am.
Learners were excited as our most Respected Principal Ma’am addressed the gathering, congratulating the members of DPVN Student Council 2024-25 on their appointment. She emphasized the importance of coordination and leadership skills, and urged the learners to work together to achieve their goals.
