FINAL OPEN DAY 2023-24
The final PTM for the session 2023-24 brought another opportunity for the educators and parents of the DPVN community to come together to discuss the progress made by the learners, their strengths and areas for improvement. Before the commencement of the next academic session, it was a crucial opportunity for parents to understand and comprehend their ward’s academic performance and overall development.
The day saw the culmination of the entire year’s hard work, achievements and learnings of the learners, and also helped the parents to seek clarification on their concerns, and discuss strategies to support their child’s learning at home.
Besides the PTM, the day proved to be eventful for the parents with the one-to-one meetings with the school counsellor, sports coaches and AI & Robotics Lab Instructors to discuss the growth of their wards and seek some personalized advice also for their wards’ overall development.
The learners and parents were also excited to explore the engaging world of Book Fair that transposed the learners to the magical world of reading and imagination. Parents were also excited with the new look of the DPVN Café after renovation and met the Café Supervisor personally to check and feel assured about the quality of food available for their child.

DPVN celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India with pride and reverence on 26th January 2024, Friday.
Embracing the spirit of patriotism, different wings of DPVN united to paint the day with vivid colours of love for our nation and respect for the national heroes, and reflected on this great land’s journey to be one of the most respected republic nations in the world.
With the inspirational presence and electrifying message of the most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Ashu Rana, the staff and learners were reminded of their indispensable role towards the prosperity of our country, and pledged to uphold the values of our extraordinary country and its rich heritage.

DPVN ANNUAL DAY 2023-24: AN EXTRAVAGANT SOIREE
The DPVN Annual Day 2023-24 was a splendid event that offered a stage to express the talents and creativity of the DPVNites. With the primary section embracing the theme of the Lion King and the secondary and senior secondary sections focusing on VISION 21st Century, the entire event was a magnificent display of talent, innovation, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence. The occasion was graced by the kind presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Honourable Mrs. Shivani V Patil, Vice-President and Pro-Chancellor, D Y Patil University.
The first slot of the program started with the primary section that took the audience on a mesmerizing journey with the young performers dressed in vibrant animal costumes and bringing the majestic characters to life with their energetic dances and soulful singing. The audience was spell bound with the vivid portrayal of the jungle on the stage that transposed them to their childhood days of story time.
In the second slot of the Annual Day, the audience was enlightened to a new dimension with the theme of VISION 21st Century presented by the Secondary and Senior Secondary sections of DPVN. The performances aimed to highlight the importance of embracing technological advancements on the foundation of a well-grounded past, sustainable development, and global citizenship. The students showcased their talents through thought-provoking skits, captivating dance routines, and melodious musical performances. The stage came alive with futuristic set designs and stunning visual effects, creating an immersive experience for the audience.
With the constant support of the Honourable Management, and immaculate direction of the most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Ashu Rana, the event not only entertained but also inspired the entire DPVN community. CAREER GUIDANCE WORKSHOP FOR GRADE 10
A comprehensive career guidance workshop was conducted by the eminent psychologist and counsellor, Ms Rachna Sabu exclusively for the learners who are going to appear for the Grade 10 CBSE Board Examination 2023-24.
The session was aimed at giving a comprehensive insight of the streams and career paths that can be availed by the learners depending upon their aptitude and skills. It also gave them a detailed understanding of the right way to face the upcoming Board Exams with confidence and conviction for best results.

SHIVAJI JAYANTI CELEBRATION
Shivaji Jayanti was celebrated at DPVN, Belapur, with extreme fervour and enthusiasm through a special event that paid homage to the great warrior king, Shivaji Maharaj. It was an enlightening program that saw all the wings of DPVN coming together and celebrating the life and valour of this legendary hero of humanity.
The students celebrated the day with traditional presentations of palna, mesmerizing music and powerful powada by the students that glorified the heroism and bravery of Shivaji with passion. The school campus echoed with the spirits of intense patriotism and captivating courage that are embodied in the iconic leader and ruler. The celebration was concluded by a symbolic palkhi procession was carried out by the students, symbolizing the grandeur and reverence associated with Shivaji Maharaj, creating a truly immersive and memorable experience for everyone present. Students also expressed their thoughts about the revered Maratha king and shared how they constantly get inspired by him.
The highlight of the event was an inspiring message by our respected Principal Ma’am as she highlighted the relevance of the life of Chhatrapati for the students and generations to come.

DPVN Prize Distribution Ceremony was held with a lot of enthusiasm and fun on 1st March, Friday, in the school premises. It was the time to acknowledge, appreciate and reward the DPVNites for their sincere efforts and sterling performances in scholastic and co-scholastic domains throughout the session.
The day honoured the learners with awards and recognition for their remarkable performances in the fields of AI and Robotics, their supreme presentations in the major events of the year, namely, DPVN FIESTA and DPVN ASTRA Exhibition, conducted under the banner of DPVN AAROHANA 2023-24, as well as the much-awaited Annual Awards of the session. Awards and certificates were presented to the winners by the most respected Principal Ma’am, and that made the proud day really special for them. One of the most defining moments for the learners was created with the motivating address by the respected Principal Ma’am that touched the heart of everyone present there.

DPVN celebrated the eve of International Women’s Day 2024 with a fun-filled evening curated especially to honor and appreciate the incredible mothers of the DPVN Mompreneurs and the female staff members of the DPVN community.
DPVN Mompreneurs is a unique initiative undertaken for the mothers of DPVN community by the most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Ashu Rana, with the constant encouragement of the Honorable Management, and inspiring support of Honorable Dr. Shivani Patil, Pro-Chancellor and Vice-President, D Y Patil University.
The school premises were decorated with colorful banners and flowers, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere. The vibrant evening witnessed the women of DPVN family in their brightest and most exuberant avatars showcasing their talents through various captivating song, dance and recitation performances bringing forward the theme of women’s empowerment. One of the highlights of the evening was the Fashion Show presented by the mothers and the selection of the Mrs. DPVN Mompreneur of the Year.
The event became truly significant when our respected Principal Ma’am addressed the audience accentuating the significance of the day and throwing the spotlight on the unique remarkable journey of each woman. She congratulated all the women and motivated them for supporting and uplifting each other as women.
DPVNITES @ 18TH DY PATIL T20 CUP
DPVN family was gratified to get the exclusive opportunity to witness the historic 18th DY Patil T20 Cup at the renowned DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on 9th March 2024, Saturday. The staff members, students and their family members were overwhelmed to see D Y Patil Red defeating Income Tax by 48 runs in the final to clinch the coveted cup through a gripping match.

PTA MEETING
DPVN CBSE, Belapur, hosted the final PTA Meet of the session 2023-24 on 16th March 2024, Saturday. Being the last meeting of the session, it was an occasion for the entire Committee to look back at the year and recap the achievements, analyse the learnings, and move forward with positivity.
Under the guidance of the President of the PTA Committee, most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Ashu Rana, parents and educators actively participated in planning for the upcoming DPVN Summer Camp, and sharing valuable insights and ideas for the next session.

AAROHAN, DPVN FIESTA 2023-24, is a unique initiative by DPVN CBSE that is inspired by the concepts of Experiential Learning, 21st Century Skills, and Holistic Learning. The 3 day-long mega event is an opportunity for the leaders, innovators and thinkers of tomorrow to learn and grow.
The first day of AAROHAN consisted of the DPVN ASTRA EXHIBITION 2.0 held on 18th January 2024, Thursday, that witnessed the learners working enthusiastically to select concepts and ideas related to the real life and displaying their academic honesty, collaboration, presentation skills and technological innovation and creativity through various projects and exhibits across all the disciplines with the guidance and help of the educators.
The event was made even more inclusive and vibrant with the various stalls, including food-stalls, set up for the visitors by the DPVN Mompreneurs, educators and learners.

DPVNites of Grades 6th and 7th sparkled on the stage of Times NIE Fundamental Quiz 2023-24 that TOI organized on 13th December at Swami Narayan Mandir, Dadar. As part of the celebrations, a series of events and activities were planned under the meticulous guidance of our most Respected Principal Ma’am that not only paid tribute to our beloved Dada, but also instilled a sense of gratitude and responsibility towards humanity in the citizens of tomorrow.
The day commenced with a series of age-appropriate activities for the learners across all the grades that included palm-outline drawing and hand printing with a special message for the school, planting a sapling to represent our commitment to nurture, extempore competition to bring out the dedication of the youth for education, and last but not the least, a visit to the orphanage, Girija Welfare Association, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, as a small step of solidarity with the nonprivileged sections of the society. The learners got the opportunity to revisit the life and works of our beloved Dada through a short film and experienced the journey of dedication and kindness for the humanity. The vibrant and lively festival of Navratri was celebrated at DPVN CBSE, Belapur, with great enthusiasm and joy. The entire school premises were adorned with colourful decorations, creating a vivid atmosphere of festivity.
The celebration began with a special puja conducted by our most respected Principal Ma’am creating a beautiful and serene moment, filled with devotion and spirituality. The puja was followed by a fun-filled, energetic Garba and Dandiya session specially organized for the staff members and the invited mothers of DPVN Mompreneurs Club. Donning vibrant traditional attire, the energetic involvement of everyone added to the festive aura of the event with the music and rhythm of songs. The attires and performances of the participants grabbed the attention of everyone, and the best ones bagged special prizes and appreciation of the audience. A fun filled quiz session conducted to enhance the knowledge of the participants added the element of curious energy to the event.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, DPVN, Belapur, actively participated in ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’, a cleanliness drive, undertaken by the Government of India to spread the message of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene in the society. The Ganpati Celebration at DPVN, Belapur was a joyous and vibrant affair. The school premises were beautifully decorated creating a festive atmosphere. The day invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha through a variety of class activities and a vibrant cultural program with students showcasing their skills and talents through various activities and performances.
The cultural event commenced with the lamp-lighting and melodious Ganpati Arti, filling the air with devotion and spirituality. It was followed by a mesmerizing song dedicated to Lord Ganesha, creating a sense of joy among the audience. The learners also presented energetic dance performance; their graceful moves and synchronized steps enthralled everyone, spreading an infectious energy and enthusiasm. The speech by our respected Principal Ma’am was a moment of inspiration and reflection. She emphasized the significance of Lord Ganesha in our lives and the values He represents. Her words resonated with the students and teachers, reminding them of the importance of the qualities represented by the Lord – perseverance, wisdom, and humility.

Engineers’ Day celebration at DPVN, Belapur was a grand event with innovative projects and enthusiastic learners interested in cutting-edge technology and advanced research. The event gave our young innovators a chance to showcase their understanding, critical thinking, problem solving abilities and creativity. Ingenious projects and models like the smart dustbin, an automatic car, a hydraulic bridge, 3D printing technology, etc. truly impressed the audience.
It was also inspiring to see students’ interest in aerospace science and engineering demonstrated through the models of rocket launcher and Indian lunar mission, Chandrayaan 3.

CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION
DPVN, Belapur organized a career Guidance session for the learners of Grades 10 and 12. The session aimed to provide valuable guidance and support to help the aspiring minds make informed decisions about their future careers.
The session began with an introduction to various career options available in today’s competitive world. Expert Psychologist & Counsellor, Ms Rachna Sabu conducted interactive discussion and activities to help students identify their strengths, interests, and goals, and shared valuable insights into the current job market trends and the skills required for different professions. The learners were encouraged to ask questions and clarify their doubts. Overall, the career guidance session in DPVN, Belapur proved to be highly beneficial for the future professionals, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and confidence to pursue their dreams.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION
The Hindi Diwas celebration at DPVN, Belapur was a true testament to the importance and beauty of the Hindi language. The event was filled with various activities and performances that highlighted the rich cultural heritage associated with Hindi.
The celebration gave the DPVNites an opportunity to eloquently express their love for the language and its significance in their lives through a variety of literary and artistic forms like Speech, dance, poem, poster making, essay writing, story-telling and Dohe showcasing their linguistic skills and the depth of Hindi literature. They spoke about the importance of preserving and promoting Hindi as a medium of communication and as an integral part of their identity.
The highlight of the celebration included our most respected Principal Ma’am’s address, where she emphasized the importance of Hindi as a language and its role in preserving our cultural heritage. She commended the students for their exceptional performances and encouraged them to continue their journey of exploring and embracing the beauty of Hindi.

DAY 2 OF THE INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BALL CORPORATION, TALOJA
The learners of Grade 11 and 12 of DPVN, Belapur, had the exclusive opportunity of an educational industrial field trip to the Ball Beverage Packaging (India) Private Limited, Taloja, that focused on sustainable packaging. As a part of our experiential learning program, the trip took the learning beyond the classroom and sensitized the learners about the importance of environmental-friendly practices in the industrial sector.
During the trip, learners had the chance to visit the packaging facility that prioritizes sustainability. Guided by Mr. Ajit Sharma, Plant Manager Director, Ball Corporation, the learners engaged in interactive activities and demonstrations to understand the various sustainable packaging options available, and gained valuable knowledge about the significance of sustainable packaging in preserving the environment and be inspired to make conscious choices in their own lives.

DAY 1 OF THE INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BALL CORPORATION, TALOJA
As a part of our Experiential Learning Program, the learners of Grade 10, DPVN, Belapur, got the opportunity of an educational industrial visit to the Ball Beverage Packing (India) Pvt. Ltd, Taloja Plant, and know more about sustainable packaging industry.
The trip provided an immersive learning experience for the learners and a firsthand insight into the aluminum can manufacturing process. With the active involvement and demonstration of Mr. Ajit Sharma, Plant Manager Director, Ball Corporation, the learners got an insight of the innovative, sustainable aluminum packaging for beverage, personal care and household products. The discussion was followed by an engaging activity session of expressing sustainability through their creativity that gave the learners the chance to define their understanding of the viable packaging solutions.
JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
DPVN, Belapur, celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, the vibrant and joyous occasion of the commemoration of the birth of Lord Krishna. The festivities were marked by enthusiasm and devotion as team DPVN came together to celebrate this auspicious occasion. The school was adorned with colourful decorations, and students participated in various activities such as singing devotional songs, performing skits and dances depicting the life of Lord Krishna, and reciting his teachings. With the gracious involvement of the most respected Principal Ma’am, the celebration not only instilled cultural values and traditions but also fostered a sense of unity and reverence among learners.

The tournament saw participants representing their respective houses, battling it out on the chessboard, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

ONAM CELEBRATION @ DPVN
Bringing the promise of abundance, happiness, and prosperity, the staff and students of DPVN, Belapur, celebrated Onam, the traditional harvest festival of Kerala, with lots of enthusiasm and ecstasy on 28th August, Monday.
Students participated in the Flower Rangoli Competition and created intricate and colourful designs using flower petals. The vibrant rangoli designs were made in different patterns and brought out the artistic expression in the students while giving them an exposure to the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Participants carefully selected and arranged different types of flowers to create visually appealing designs. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation among students.

23rd August 2023, Wednesday, marked one of the most significant days in the current academic session of DPVN, Belapur, as it witnessed the celebration of the milestone events, viz., DPVN Investiture Ceremony, Unveiling of the DPVN Roll of Honor, and the Inauguration of the DPVN S.T.E.A.M Lab. The momentous occasion was graced by the kind presence of the most esteemed, Mrs. Shivani V. Patil, Honorable Vice President and Pro-Chancellor, D Y Patil University.

INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION
The young thinkers and orators of Grades IX and X participated in an inter-school debate competition organized by the YMCA, Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The topic for debate was-” Minimising taxes will reduce corruption”. While the enthusiastic DPVNites presented their rebuttal of the motion with sufficient relevant facts and data.
The competition offered an excellent platform for our learners to showcase their critical thinking, public speaking, and analytical skills, enabling them to express their opinions and ideas in a structured and organized manner. Overall, the competition was a resounding success, and all the participants were praised for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the art of debating.

FIRST PARENT-TEACHER MEETING AT DPVN, BELAPUR
On 19th August 2023, Saturday, the first Parent-Teacher Meeting was held at DPVN, Belapur, marking a crucial milestone in promoting collaboration and strengthening the bond between parents, teachers, and the school community.
This event served as a platform for open and constructive communication, enabling parents and teachers to come together to discuss the progress and well-being of their children.
The PTM was organized with meticulous planning and great enthusiasm. The school premises were transformed into a welcoming and vibrant space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Throughout the event, parents had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with their child’s teachers as they provided a deeper understanding of the child’s academic performance, strengths, and areas for improvement. Parents were able to ask questions, seek clarification, and gain insights into their child’s classroom experiences and learning strategies. Additionally, the day brought an opportunity for the parents to know and understand the S.T.E.A.M learning platform, and A.I and Robotics Lab at DPVN to actively support their child’s experiential learning journey. The wondrous world of books was also at a display for the learners and the parents to explore the magic and fun of the printed pages.
The day was a resounding success, leaving both parents and teachers with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation. The event not only reinforced the bridge between home and school but also laid the foundation for meaningful partnerships between parents, teachers, and the school administration.
TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION ON STEAM EDUCATION

DPVN, Belapur, in collaboration with Scholasys Educational Consultancy, organized a S.T.E.A.M Orientation Program for the educators on 17th August 2023, Thursday. The program was aimed at empowering educators to work regularly bringing scientific motivation and creativity effectively into classrooms.
The initiative of introducing S.T.E.A.M by our most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Ashu Rana, will help our learners to understand the basic concepts of science, mathematics and engineering with an artistic touch using Robotics and AI as the interface.
The session also provided an opportunity to our educators to engage in hands-on experience and stimulate the structural change to teach students how to think critically, problem solve and use creativity, preparing students to work in fields that are assured for growth.

With immense pride and deep respect for our great national heroes and freedom fighters, the DPVNites presented a vibrant and intense cultural program, Meri Mati Mera Desh, dedicated to Maa Bharati that touched the souls of everyone with the eloquence of emotions. With a profound message from our most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Ashu Rana, the future citizens of the country were greatly inspired and motivated to dedicate all their endeavors for the love of the motherland.
Among the esteemed Guests of Honor were Ms Chaitrali Pralhad Sabale, API, CBD Belapur, and Mr. Shivaji Patil and Ms Sunita Patil, the brave parents of the 26/11 martyr Constable Yogesh Patil who graced the occasion.
The day witnessed the DPVN family bathed in the prominent colors of the Tricolour that showcased the pride, joy and dignity of being the free nationals of a free nation.

SST WEEK 2023
With celebration of the essence of freedom on mind, the Department of Social Sciences of DPVN, Belapur organised a week-long celebration of the Independence Day Week from 8th to 14th August 2023, giving the learners an opportunity to express their nationalism with the help of an array of creative and fun activities like slogan writing, bringing tricolour food item, fancy dress, making tri-colour wall hangings and t-shirt painting.
The learners also gave words to their thoughts and ideas through speech, paragraph writing and declamation. A quiz competition for the learners of Grades 9 to 12 regarding the vital role played by India in the G-20 Summit and realization of the SDGs proved to be an effective way to bring forth the involvement and awareness of learners.
As a prelude to the grand celebration of the Independence Day, these engaging activities ignited the spirit of patriotism in the young nationalists of DPVN, Belapur.

It was an excellent opportunity for the young minds to explore and know more about the various types of Taxes including GST and VAT, and Customs Duty. Shri Shalabh Katiyar, IRS, Additional Commissioner, and Shri Ashok Kumar, IRS, Assistant Commissioner, explained the various aspects of tax collection and demonstrated the working of the tax portals.

In collaboration with DPVN, Belapur, and Anvay Foundation, Vashi, CGST and Central Excise, Belapur Commissionerate organized a seminar on ‘Creating Awareness Amongst Young Citizens Against Drug Use and Smuggling’ on 9th August 2023, Wednesday.
The seminar aimed at making the future citizens aware and alert regarding use and smuggling of drugs. Among the valued guest speakers who presented their insightful thoughts were Shri Shalabh Katiyar, IRS, Additional Commissioner, and Shri Ashok Kumar, IRS,Assistant Commissioner, from the CGST and Central Excise, Belapur Commissionerate, Dr. Ajit Magdum, Founder & Director, Anvay Pratishthan (Deaddiction Center), Vashi, and Dr. Rakesh Ghidiyal, Head of Department of Psychiatry of MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai. The feline grace of the magnificent cat reflected through the art and craft activities of the DPVNites as they enthusiastically came up with ideas on how to protect tigers.
MATH WEEK – BRILLIANT BRAINS (GRADES VI TO XII)

The Mathematics Department of DPVN, Belapur, organized “Brilliant Brains”, a week-long celebration of Mathematics, from 24th July to 31st July 2023. Learners from Grades VI to XII participated enthusiastically in various activities and competitions which were meticulously planned by the educators.
The week dedicated to “the hope that every problem has a solution” encompassed a wide range of fun-filled engaging activities and challenges that contributed to an enhanced level of interest among students regarding mathematics. The entire school environment was abuzz with interesting Mathematical facts, formulae and famous puzzles related to numbers. Right from a display of Mathematical models, various puzzles and fun games of Math, to audio-visual presentations, learners experienced the fun in the subject in all forms.

The Mathematics Department of DPVN, Belapur, organized “Brilliant Brains”, a week-long celebration of the magic, mystery and merriment of Math, from 24th July to 31st July 2023. Learners from Grades I to V excitedly took part in various activities and competitions which were meticulously planned by the educators.
The week dedicated to numbers, calculations and mathematical formulae was planned as per the level of individual grades to enable avid participation of learners of all ages. The school soft boards and bulletin boards were decorated with interesting Mathematical facts and famous puzzles related to numbers. The vivid and energetic activity studded week experienced a thematic Fancy Dress competition, display of Mathematical models, various puzzles and fun games of Math, and audio-visual presentations.

WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY 2023
As a part of the World Youth Skills Day 2023, DPVN, Belapur, organized the Intra School Model United Nations, DPVN MUN on 15th July 2023, Saturday, for the learners of Grades 9 to 12. The conference focused on discussing the framework required for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including narcotic drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol with special emphasis on the implementation of the 3rd Sustainable Development Goal, UN 2030, as proposed by the third committee, SOCHUM (Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian Committee).
The World Youth Skills Day also witnessed our young orators participating in an elocution competition. While the learners of the Primary section put forth their views on ‘Your favourite monsoon memory’, the learners of Grades VI to X presented their ideas about the career of their choice. The young adults of Senior Secondary section highlighted the role of reading for life-long learning.
Model United Nations and Elocution Competition provide the young, innovative and thoughtful minds with a platform to project their views on international issues and topics related to their lives.
Such activities enhance the oratory and debating skills of the students besides training them in detailed research to stay abreast with national and international affairs, thus making them better equipped to deal with real world situations.

STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION 2023-24
Student Council Election was held at DPVN, Belapur, for the session of 2023-24 on 11th July 2023, Tuesday. Learners from Grades IX to XII filed their nominations for various positions in the Students’ Council including the most coveted posts of the School Head Boy and the School Head Girl. The nominees campaigned for their respective posts on the specially allotted days with their symbols and slogans and put in their efforts to impress the student-voters.
Learners from Grades VI to XII were actively involved in the casting of votes for the election. Learners were allowed to enter the polling booth and cast vote only after a thorough checking of the school ID card and they got their forefingers inked as a sign of exercising their right to franchise. The Student Council Election was an opportunity for the future citizens of the largest democracy of the world to experience the democratic process and exercise their right to vote.

National Doctor’s Day celebrates the noble profession of medicine and honours the incredible men and women who have dedicated their lives to healing others. The learners of DPVN, Belapur, also paid tribute to the extraordinary service of doctors to celebrate the National Doctor’s Day on 1st July, Saturday.
As a part of the celebration, the school organized an interactive session with the renowned physician, Dr. Arti Nagraj Nallu, General Secretary, Maharashtra Homoeopathic Female Doctors Association (MHFDA) for the young learners of Grades IX and X. The insightful session with the award-winning doctor sensitized the learners about the noble profession of making healthcare accessible to everyone, and gave an opportunity to express gratitude for all the doctors for providing comfort and support to patients and their families during challenging times.

The young dreamers and aspirants also experienced the immensity of the service provided by the doctors to the humanity through an audio-visual film on the acclaimed D. Y. DPVN Belapur, in association with the Navi Mumbai Police, organised an awareness programme for the learners of Grades XI and XII on 23rd June 2023, Friday as a part of the ‘Vigilant Navi Mumbaikar Campaign’. The program was an insightful session on drug abuse and it sensitized the young adults regarding the impact of drugs on their mental and physical health, and overall well-being.

With the support and kind presence of the most esteemed, Mrs Shivani V Patil, the Honourable Vice-President and Pro-Chancellor, DY Patil University, and the guidance of our most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs Ashu Rana, the DPVN team organized a felicitation ceremony for the prominent achievers and their delighted parents as a gesture of acknowledgement and appreciation of the hard work and dedication that these learners have demonstrated through their academic excellence. It was a dream come true moment for our youngsters as they were felicitated by none other than their ideal leader and the iconic personality, the most admired, Shivani Ma’am.
The day was a well-deserved and refreshing break for the learners and their parents. Besides congratulating them for their outstanding accomplishment, our respected Principal Ma’am also wished them for their journey ahead. The overwhelmed learners gave words to their thoughts and emotions, and expressed their deepest gratitude for the stimulation they received always from the Honourable Shivani Ma’am. They also thanked their most inspiring Principal Ma’am for her result-oriented and comprehensive support. SUMMER CAMP CULMINATION DAY @ DPVN
The second edition of DPVN Summer Camp 2023-24 saw a grand culmination on 13th May, Saturday. As was expected, the eagerly awaited summer camp brought an exclusive opportunity for our learners to learn new skills, enhance their holidays, and stay active while having fun in a safe learning environment.
The multi-activity summer camp offered a range of engaging indoor and outdoor activities for all the learners right from Pre-School to Secondary Section, with each group and session perfectly suited to the age and interest of every participant.
Having started on 2nd May with a grand inauguration by the most esteemed, Mrs Shivani V Patil, Honorable Vice President and Pro Chancellor, DY Patil University, the camp provided enrichment along with entertainment to our dear DPVNites.
The stage brought the two generations, the learners and their parents, together working in coordination and enjoying each other’s company through a series of highly engaging and fun-filled activities.
The day was also marked with an exciting Awards and Recognition Ceremony to appreciate the winners in various categories and contests organized in the summer camp. The day gave us the proud moment of meeting and felicitating the International Wrestling Champion, Woman Police Naik, Ms Sharmila Sitamani Naik, as she attended the ceremony as a happy parent of one of our learners.
It was extremely encouraging for everyone to be honoured with the kind presence of the chief driving force behind all our endeavors, our most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs Ashu Rana. Our learners and parents were delighted to get the opportunity to meet our Principal Ma’am and interact with their admired leader, and also to participate in the fun games with her.

Day 2 of the DPVN Summer Camp had all the participants expressing the joy of movement through their dance moves. With Hip-hop and Zumba, the young dancers enjoyed every move as they found the most energetic expression of their emotions.

D Y Patil School of Architecture, Navi Mumbai is conducting a Happy Summer School on Clay Moulding and Brush Painting from 2nd to 8th May 2023 for the creative brains of above 12 years of age. Expert faculties, Akanksha Patil and Mrunal Bandkar have been invited from the renowned J. J. School of Art to coach the participants.
The first day of the summer course saw the excited participation of many children as they gave colours and shapes to their imaginations. DPVNites also took up the challenge of learning a new skill and present their ideas in the most beautiful and impressive way.

On 2nd May 2023, Tuesday, the eagerly awaited DPVN Summer Camp 2023-24 started with a lot of excitement and fun. The 14 day long multi-activity camp was inaugurated by the most esteemed, Mrs Shivani V Patil, Honourable Vice President and Pro Chancellor, D Y Patil University. Entering the second year, under the immaculate orchestration of our respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs Ashu Rana, the camp has been one of the most highly anticipated events for the DPVN learners and their parents as it offers a wide range of sports and arts activities, with each group and session perfectly suited to the age and ability of every participant.
The first day of the summer camp saw kids engaged creatively in various activities. While the tiny ones of DPVN Kids tried their hands at Balloon Painting, Thread Painting, and Magic Painting, the learners of DPVN had a fun time learning Paper Craft and Fabric Painting.
At DPVN, we always encourage our learners to try new things, learn new skills and craft and push their boundaries. We strive to provide a life-changing experience along with precious memorable moments to our dear learners that they can cherish.

BEAT THE HEAT WITH YOGA

DPVN organised a special Yoga session for the learners on 27th April 2023, Thursday. Expert yoga instructors, Ms Prajakta and Mr Nikit Pawar from Yogahara Institute conducted the session. The valuable program focused on the Yoga poses that help us cool down during the scorching heat of summer, and the learners of all ages were quite excited and delighted to be a part of the session. With the ardent approach of our respected Principal Ma’am towards the holistic well-being of our learners, we are devoted to provide an enriching scholastic and co-scholastic experience to the future global citizens.
WORLD BOOK DAY- DPVN READ-A-THON CHALLENGE

On 24th April 2023, Monday, the learners of DPVN commenced with the first day of the DPVN Read-a-thon Challenge, the week-long celebration of the World Book Day. The day started with a theme-based morning assembly dedicated to these “uniquely portable magic”. The young readers across all the grades picked a book of their choice and got immersed in the liberating experience of drifting into the pages of words, knowledge, emotions and imaginations. It was heartening to see that the end of the reading session only justify them desiring for more as they pledged to participate in this challenge enthusiastically.

MOCK FIRE DRILL

At DPVN, we believe that confidence and accuracy come from training, and when it comes to the safety of our dear learners, we leave no stone unturned in ensuring a completely safe and secured environment to nurture the future leaders of this world.
In this regard, a mock fire drill was conducted in the premises of DPVN under the supervision of our respected Principal Ma’am on 24th April 2023, Monday, with the enthusiastic participation of the entire staff. With the view that safety is a small investment for a rich future, we are committed to prepare for safety with the right tools, gadgets and mindset.
DPVN LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2023-24

With the preparedness and the will to lead the team confidently towards the definitive goal of Believe and Become, a DPVN Leadership Summit was organized on 22nd April 2023, Friday, under the orchestration of an exemplary leader and mentor, our most respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs Ashu Rana.
The summit brought together the ingenious ideas of the senior staff members, and all the Departmental Heads, including the Admin Department and the Admission Department, who presented their Annual Reports and Budgets. The summit was a road map for the coming session to proceed with assuredness and realize our goals.
The participants were highly motivated by the insightful words of our respected Principal Ma’am, explaining the meaning of true leadership that takes the team along for realisation of a vision, and the entire team felt invigorated for a fruitful year ahead.
A DAY FOR THE PLANET AND THE PEOPLE

Our learners at DPVN celebrated the Earth Day and showcased their love and commitment to their home planet. Going by the theme of the Earth Day in 2023, that is “Invest in Our Planet”, the day began with the Morning Assembly on the same theme by the learners that stressed on the significance of saving our planet for the generations to come. Inspired by our most respected Principal Ma’am, the learners also participated in ‘Planting a Sapling’ programme and gave the message of protecting our environment for a cleaner, greener and healthier planet.
The day also marked the holy occasion of Eid, and the DPVNites celebrated the festival of happiness, peace and unity with various creative activities. Embracing the joyful spirit of the auspicious festival, the learners gave the message of a harmonious world.

Under the Mission Innovation Program, DY Patil University, in collaboration with Grok Learning, has taken the initiative to bridge the current education system with the real-world requirements for the entire school community. Taking this ideology further, D Y Patil Centre of Innovation and Incubation, is set up for creating an environment to nurture innovations.
As a step towards NEP readiness for schools, the Centre organized a workshop on 18th April 2023, Tuesday, for the schools in Navi Mumbai to proceed ahead in collaboration, and discuss about the technologies that are enabling current innovations. The learners of DPVN celebrated National Siblings’ Day on 11th April, 2023, Tuesday, depicting their love for their brothers and sisters through various creative forms like poetry, speech, paintings etc. This was an opportunity for them to go down the memory lane and reminisce about the best moments spent together with their built-in best friends with the same roots, and also to plan bucket-list of activities they would love to do together in future. Starting with an impressive morning assembly dedicated to the most beautiful bond of blood, the day brought the emotions and imaginations on the same ground to play with each other and create beautiful moments of brothers and sisters to treasure for the rest of their lives.

DPVN conducted an Orientation Program for the parents of Grades V to XII on 6th April 2023, Thursday, that saw the keen response of the parents as they got the opportunity to know our institution better and align themselves to the vision of our highly esteemed leadership. With the encouragement of our respected Principal Ma’am, the team DPVN interacted with the parents and introduced them to the guidelines of the NEP 2020, the revised curriculum and the assessment pattern as these are the driving forces behind the entire teaching-learning process. The parents were highly cooperative and made the session effective with their active participation.

On 5th April 2023, Wednesday, the school conducted an orientation program for the parents of Grades I to IV, and acclimatized them to the infrastructure, curriculum and assessment pattern. This was an opportunity for the parents to interact with the educators, seek answers to their queries, and know the institution better to get aligned to our vision. DPVN team was delighted to connect with the parents and offer them all the help and assistance that they needed for a seamless transition to the new session and make the most out of it in the best interest of our learners.
