National Education Policy

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 aims to revolutionize education in India by promoting flexible, holistic, and multidisciplinary frameworks. With the introduction of the new 5+3+3+4 school structure, India is on its way to becoming a global knowledge superpower.

National Education Policy (NEP) is the revolutionary step taken by the Union Ministry of India for transformative reforms in school and higher education. NEP, the first education policy of the 21st century, has replaced the 34 years old education policy and is based on the four pillars of Access, Equity, Quality and Accountability.
According to NEP, the school education structure will be 5+3+3+4 that includes 12 years of school and 3 years of pre-school. This aims at making India a Global Knowledge Superpower by promoting flexible, holistic and multi-disciplinary framework for the school and college curriculum and a robust research system.

New Curriculum Structure

Assessment Pattern

Each academic year would be divided into two terms:

Term 1 April To September
Term 2 October to March

In each term one unit test shall be conducted. Subject Enrichment Activities and class Notebooks will also be marked

Notes:

  • In the Theory Exam it is mandatory to secure minimum 33 % & above marks in all the subjects.
  • Every student is expected to maintain in record at least 75 % attendance during the year.

2nd Term Examination March
